Michael began his career as a writer in 1994 as a newspaper journalist for a local newspaper. For 3 years, Dunn developed his writing skills for several publications including the Orlando Sentinel and the Central Florida Future. In 1997, Michael shifted to fiction when he wrote his first film, Midnight Conflict. The next year proved to be busy, as he wrote scripts for two more independent shorts and became lead writer for the Steel Legends Documentary. In 1999, Dunn joined the American Screenwriter's Association after he sold his first feature length screenplay, Alone and Restless. The feature film is currently in production.
